NBEMO - Homeowner Repair Program

Emergency Repair Program (ERP)

The Emergency Repair Program (ERP) is designed to address urgent situations where, in this specific scenario, a homeowner's water system has become defective and poses an immediate threat to health and safety of the occupants.

To be eligible, applicants must own the residence, and have a total household income below our Household Income Limits.  Funding is in the form of a non-repayable contribution and the maximum funding available is $15,000 per household within a seven-year period.  This limit is shared with the Homeowner Repair Program, so applicants who have already accessed funds under that program may be eligible for a reduced amount.  Exceptions can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that to qualify under the ERP for a new well, the homeowner must be completely out of water or the water must have been  condemned.
