Municipal Departments

The District of Tobique Valley is supported by a committed team of professionals across multiple departments, all working together to deliver efficient, responsive municipal services. Chief Administration Officer

Patty St. Peter serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the District of Tobique Valley, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the municipality and ensuring that Council’s decisions are effectively implemented. As the municipality’s senior administrator, she provides leadership to municipal staff, manages financial and strategic planning, and works closely with Council to develop policies that support the best interests of the community.


In her role as CAO, Patty is responsible for coordinating the delivery of municipal services, promoting transparency in governance, and fostering strong relationships with residents and external partners. She plays a key role in long-term planning, budget oversight, and policy development, helping ensure the District of Tobique Valley remains a well-managed and thriving community.




Administrative Office



The Administrative Office serves as the central hub for municipal operations in the District of Tobique Valley, providing essential support to Council, staff, and the public. It is responsible for coordinating day-to-day administrative functions, maintaining official records, and ensuring the efficient delivery of municipal services.


The office also manages communications, customer service, and general inquiries, helping residents access information and services in a timely and professional manner. Through its work, the Administrative Office supports transparent governance and the effective operation of the municipality.



Community Development & Tourism



The Community Development and Tourism Department plays a key role in supporting the growth, vitality, and long-term sustainability of the District of Tobique Valley. The department works to strengthen the local economy by supporting businesses, encouraging investment, and fostering partnerships that enhance community well-being.


It also supports and promotes recreation by helping develop and maintain programs, facilities, and outdoor spaces that encourage active, healthy lifestyles for residents of all ages. From community events to recreational opportunities, the department contributes to a strong sense of community and overall quality of life.


In addition, the department promotes the region as a welcoming destination by showcasing its natural assets, cultural experiences, and local events. Through strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and community engagement, it helps attract visitors while enhancing quality of life for residents.

Public Works

The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining essential infrastructure and ensuring the safe, reliable delivery of core municipal services within the District of Tobique Valley. This includes the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems to provide clean drinking water and effective sewage treatment for residents.



The department also oversees year-round road maintenance, including repairs and general upkeep during the summer months, as well as snow clearing, sanding, and salting in the winter. Through these services, Public Works helps keep the community safe, accessible, and functioning smoothly in all seasons.

Fire Department



The Fire Department is dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the environment within the District of Tobique Valley. Through emergency response, fire prevention, and public education, the department works to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.


In addition to responding to fires, the department assists with medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and other urgent situations. It also provides mutual aid to surrounding communities, supporting regional emergency response efforts. Maintenance Department

The Maintenance Department is responsible for the upkeep and operation of municipal facilities and public spaces throughout the District of Tobique Valley. This includes overseeing key assets such as the arena, pool, parks, and other community spaces to ensure they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.



Through regular maintenance, inspections, and improvements, the department helps provide residents with accessible, functional, and enjoyable facilities that support recreation, community events, and overall quality of life.
